After finishing Matric, I knew that the hospitality industry was definitely for me. I decided to find courses involved in this field. This was when I stumbled upon Shaker Bar school and a friend and I decided to sign up.
Made by the maceration of ripe banana's in a neutral spirit. Bright yellow with a strong banana flavour
Mocha/coffee flavoured liqueur. Coffee coloured and made with neutral spirit flavoured with coffee beans.
Clear in colour and made from a spirit which is distilled with coconut shavings.
Clear in colour, orange flavoured liqueur. Only the orange peels are used, which are soaked in distilled water and then steeped in a spirit before being distilled.
Bright red in colour using cultivated strawberries macerated with neutral spirit and then distilled and sweetened.
Dark orange in colour naartjie flavoured liqueur. The fruit is macerated with a spirit and then distilled and sweetened.
Dark green in colour and made from the crushing of peppermint leaves to remove the oils, which are then blended with a spirit and distilled.
Dark yellow in colour and made with ginger flavoured neutral spirit
Made by crushing cherries and macerated in a spirit for a period of time.
Made in the same way as Triple Sec, using orange peels and soaking them in distilled water and then steeped in a spirit before being distilled.
